We will address several fundamental questions concerning the study of visibility and visual awareness from a neuroscientific
perspective: What is the neural substrate of our perception of visibility? What features of the world are most visible? What parts
of the brain contain the circuits necessary for us to be aware of the visible world? We will discuss data from studies combining
psychophysical, electrophysiological, optical imaging, and human fMRI methods, and we will demonstrate many novel visual
illusions illustrating these percepts, so that participants are able to replicate the experiments in their own brains.
