Poetry Slam and Zombie Blues

As in previous conferences, a Poetry Slam and Zombie Blues rendition will take place Friday night (April 7) from 10:00 pm till midnight in the Leo Rich Theater (cash bar).

All attendees are invited to recite original poems onstage on any topic related to consciousness, and the audience is encouraged to be rowdy. Following the poems, attendees are invited to sing onstage their own verses of The Zombie Blues, with musical accompaniment. Traditionally, David Chalmers leads off with the original verse: “I act like you act, I do what you do, but I don’t know, what it’s like to be you. What consciousness is, I ain’t got a clue. I got the Zombie Blues!....” and so on.

Best poem and best Zombie Blues verse will be selected by the audience and acknowledged.
