Michal Gruberger

Alterations in the Sense of Self by Stimulation of the Prefrontal Cortex

 

Michal Gruberger (MA, PhD candidate), a licensed neuro-psychologist and PhD candidate at the Department of Psychology

at Tel-Aviv University. Ms. Gruberger became interested in the field of Neuro - Philosophy during her neuro-psychology studies and has been focusing her efforts since on studying the neural correlates of rest-related mental activity, namely spontaneous thought and normal and altered states of consciousness. Her research uses a combination of various advanced technologies, including deep-TMS, fMRI and EEG, and constitutes a collaborative effort of the Cognition-Emotion Research Center at the Shalvata Mental Health Center,  the Neuro-Biology Department at the Weizmann Institute of Science, and  the Functional Brain Imaging Unit at the Wohl Institute for Advanced Imaging, Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center.
