DAVID CHALMERS

The Singularity: A Philosophical Analysis

                                                                    

David Chalmers is Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Centre for Consciousness at the Australian National University, and Professor of Philosophy at New York University.  He is the author of  The Conscious Mind (1996) and  The Character of Consciousness (2010). He is a former director of the Center for Consciousness Studies at the University of Arizona, and was one of the founders of the Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness.  He has been a co-organizer of the Tucson consciousness conferences since 1996.
