SIDE TRIPS - TSC 2010

Buses will leave from the Leo Rich Theatre

Trip participants from the Mt. Lemmon and Sabino Tours who are signed up to attend the Conference Dinner will be dropped off on the return to La Paloma Resort and Hotel at approx 6:00 pm (those not attending the dinner will continue back to the Hotel Arizona)

 

The Jeep Tour will return to the Hotel Arizona. Those who are attending the dinner

will have to take the 5:30 bus (lower level of Hotel Arizona) to La Paloma Resort.

All dinner attendees will return to Hotel Arizona at approx 10 pm

 

 

MT. LEMMON, The Santa Catalina Mts., and a Nature Walk….. 1:00 PM-6PM 

10,000 Ft. above the desert floor, 5 climactic zones, and 30 degrees cooler, lies Mt. Lemmon. Our trip up the Hitchcock Highway is like traveling from central Mexico to Alaska. Desert scrubs plants to tall ponderosa pines. Bring a camera for photos along the way at special view points. A nature walk follows our journey up the mountain. There is a mountain top community and a few shops.

SABINO CANYON NATURE WALK & TRAM TOUR…..1:00-5:00PM

We take a breathtaking tram tour thru some of the most photogenic scenery in Tucson.

Sabino Canyon is a desert oasis nestled in the Santa Catalina Mts. Mountains, canyons, streams, spectacular plants, birds,

and animals. A nature walk takes place after our narrated tram tour.  

$ 60.00 per person based on 25 guest minimum. Includes admissions, guide, and iced beverages.

DESERT JEEP ADVENTURE…..1:00-5:30PM

Jeep Tours website.....www.traildustadventures.com   The four wheeled open air jeep tour will lead you through some of the most beautiful and rugged desert wilderness surrounding Tucson. Your driver/guide will share with you all of the history and narrate thru the cactus forests, canyons, washes and mountains that surround the trail. Wear closed toed shoes, sunscreen. Water and beverages are provided.

$ 95.00 per person based on 12 guest minimum.

Includes pickup at the hotel, transportation, guide, and iced soft beverages.

SAN XAVIER MISSION & HISTORIC TUCSON TOUR ….. 12:30PM-4:30PM       / Cancelled                                               

Visit the fabled “White Dove of the Desert”, San Xavier Mission. A Father Kino mission founded in 1683. It’s regarded as

the best preserved mission in the Southwest. Try Indian Fry Bread and visit the wonderful gift shop. We’ll also visit the

El Presidio Historic District and Old Town Artisans. Learn Tucson’s history rich in Indian, Spanish, Mexican and Anglo cultures.
